Brother jeff (Jeff Stanley’s stage name) is an American singer/songwriter who has performed in the USA, Africa, Australia, Indonesia, Mexico, and Papua New Guinea. He was raised in East Africa which exposed him to eclectic music from an early age. As a teenager, Brother jeff incorporated such styles as African pop, rock, jazz, blues, funk, ska, and reggae into his music.

Brother jeff has gigged with a myriad of famous performers such as Michael Franti and Spearhead and Kelly Joe Phelps and Jeff Pevar.  He is well known in the American music community and has participated in a wide range of events, including playing for Courtney Cox (“Friends”) wedding, auditioning for Limp Bizkit, performing at The Oakland Colesium, and making it to the finals (out of 4,000 guitarists) for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also was the lead guitarist for Eugene Cole and Persuaded on their first live recording for an audience of 1,200.

In Australia, Brother jeff sold out The Sydney Opera House, and was blessed to play at the Cockatoo Island Festival on the Sydney Harbour where Ernest Ranglin and The Wailers jammed! He received radio play for his single ‘Life Is Up’ and toured from Brisbane to Melbourne.

Along with performing, Brother jeff does a great deal of songwriting for international films and videos. He wrote and recorded the soundtrack for a New York film based on the tragedy at the World Trade Center. He has produced music for a multitude of videos and documentaries whose clients have included the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Red Cross in East Africa. He has also composed and recorded for television shows and commercials out of Los Angeles. Brother jeff’s ability to adapt to any style of music makes him highly employable as a session musician and, as a result, his name appears on countless albums and projects around the world.

Brother jeff’s diverse singer-songwriter abilities are evident throughout all seven of his original full-length albums. His sense of humor, ability to improvise and create lyrics on a whim, and Spiritual vibe have inspired audiences internationally.

Recently, Brother jeff produced an instrumental album – Lifeline - which is receiving radio play and is a good representation of his talent.
